The Xlinks Team is comprised of individuals from a broad range of backgrounds, but all with one thing in common – a drive to change the way with think about the low carbon transition.

At Xlinks we think every little helps to progress the UK’s transition to a low carbon economy, but we also believe that a single 10 GW solar and wind installation will move us along the right path faster.

Prior to working for McKinsey and Company Simon completed an MBA at Harvard Business School. Simon left an Associate position at Mckinsey and Company to become CEO of Ground Control. Simon has since become the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2018 UK award winner for Transformational Leadership.

Paddy Padmanathan

Starting as a Graduate Engineer, over a 24 year span working across Middle East and Africa, Paddy expanded his responsibility to become Vice President and a corporate officer at Black & Veatch, a global engineering & construction company. Since 2005 Paddy serves as the President & CEO of ACWA Power, a world leading developer, investor and operator of power generation and desalinated water production assets including several large renewable energy plants, a portfolio of 34GW and 5.2 million cum/day valued at US$ 45 Billion.

Oliver is the co-founder of a number of renewable energy engineering consultancy and project development companies, and has a unique insight into global renewable energy project delivery and operations.
He has 15 years energy and renewable energy experience and has advised; governments, utilities, development and commercial banks and infrastructure investors on approximately 2,000 projects totalling 30GW of generation in more than 30 countries across the globe.

Jaime’s experience covers over 15 years of Private Equity and Strategic Consulting in leading institutions such as Coller Capital, the EBRD and McKinsey and Co. but also a strong entrepreneurial activity as Co-Founder of Faro Energy and as CxO/advisor for dynamic energy start-ups such as Rensource, Enerbuild or Clean Energy Associates. Jaime holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and an LLM (Law) and a MSc in Economics from ICADE, Madrid.

Richard joined Xlinks from KiWi Power where he worked as the UK Programme Manager before becoming the Growth Strategy and Innovations Champion. The role included market analysis and strategic planning as well as engaging with organisations such as BEIS, Ofgem and National Grid.

Yoav co-founded, ran as CEO, and excited KiWi Power, the UK’s leading smart grid company. Prior to this Yoav has experience in private equity and the oil and gas sector.

Titus has a first class degree in Artificial Intelligence and won a Fulbright Scholarship to California Institute of Technology. He has founded and been CEO of several high growth technology businesses. This includes MVF that was recognised as the fastest growing technology business in the UK coming 1st in the Sunday Times Tech Track and 2nd in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For. He has sold two technology companies to both FTSE 100 businesses and private equity. Titus has also been recognised as Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Business Awards.

Jay began his career as a solicitor at Linklaters before moving back to Canada and becoming CEO of ISE Inc, a manufacturer of ergonomic office furniture. Jay returned to the UK in 2016 and is Chairman of Littlewood Fencing Ltd. He is also Chairman of The Rumi Foundation. Jay completed his law degree at Cambridge and MBA at Harvard Business School.

Ian has joined Xlinks in an advisory role and has specialised in subsea cabling since 2000. In 2012 Ian became CEO of Global Marine having previously work for range of subsea specialists.
